From the archives: Howard Tayler at Your Local Game Store (Hotay Yologast).
Howard Tayler, of Schlock Mercenary fame (and multiple-nominee for a Hugo award), visited Matthews, NC to promote the opening of Your Local Game Store in January of 2013.
A well-thought-out game store, it has a good range of tabletop games and supplies.
Howard gave several readings, played a few games, and gave a demonstration of miniature painting.
Check out the gallery below for photos of the event.
A great time was had by all, even if the volume was turned up to permanent-damage-inducing levels. 🙂
Got a few fun photos to share with you.

I took a much-needed vacation to visit family over the holidays, and it also was a perfect opportunity to test out the Canon 6D I’d just picked up… whether I was fighting off the worst cold I’d had in years or not. I would not be denied photo time.

From June of 2012, took a few photos in Washington, D.C. at a few locations around the city.
The Colonial Marines launch party was a great time. Got a ton of photos, most of which are private for Gearbox, but I’ll post a few for your entertainment in a few weeks or so.

Arrived in Plano, aside from the excitement of Dallas area drivers, an entirely uneventful trip.
Or just another bug hunt?
Headed to Plano, Texas, to visit friends at Gearbox and attend a little party.
As you may have noticed, we’re still not quite ready for prime time yet, so be sure to check back later for progress.
(Or, check back routinely, and watch as the scaffolding comes away and a new butterfly emerges… but perhaps I am mixing my metaphors.)
Thanks for stopping by!
